Cabinet Secretary: President Yudhoyono Was Not Annoyed When Responding the Transition Team Desires

Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam asserted that President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono was never annoyed in response to the Elected President Joko Widodo – Jusuf Kalla Transition Team desires.

“Bothered? No he was not. He straightened that he was no upset anyway. This is true when President said that he was willingly to answer if he was asked. Now, if he will be asked of course there are rules how to do that, do not acting arbitrarily,” said Dipo Alam in his interview with Kompas TV in Cabinet Secretariat Office, Jakarta, Friday (5/9) evening.

“The limit has been described by the President that if we are asked, we provide the information, data and Government Work Plan related to the 2015 State Budget,” he said.

Dipo Alam assessed that the Elected President Joko Widodo- Jusuf Kalla Government has freedom to change the Government Work Plan 2015.

“We did not leave a time bomb. That was a misleading. We really want to support. The President already said in his speech in the House of Representative on August 15. It was clear. “If I was asked, I would be happy to give it.” Back when the President Yudhoyono was elected in 2004, there were no such things from Megawati government. Now it is great that this transition occurs very nice, peaceful, and democratic,” said Dipo Alam.

Previously, the President asserted in the Plenary Session introductory at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Friday (5/9) afternoon, that what he had been doing was important because this was the first time we have a good leadership transition.

“The President reminded that since Indonesia’s independence, all people know that there has never been such a transition taken place. It is a good situation in leadership succession.

“Let together we impressed this new history, making it a good political tradition from now on,” the President requested.

About his Circular that governing the Elected President Jokowi Transition Team meeting with government officials, according to the Cabinet Secretary, it was intended to make coordination in order not to act randomly. It was also to avoid the fake people who use the Transition Office letter but actually they are fake or maybe they are the genuine one but also the fake one (take a quotes) because we either do not know who are they, nor what are their purposes?

The Cabinet Secretary reminded the President explanation that the ministers could accept the Transition Team, but of course to the Transition Team, he asked according to his Circular, if they want to, because the Cabinet recently do not related to the Transition Team, so that ministers should coordinate with the coordinating minister who has been appointed.
