Presidential Special Staffer for Legal Affairs Dini Shanti Purwono (09/27) held Dialogue Forum with public on the Criminal Code Law Draft (RKUHP) at Bali Dynasty Resort, Bali in a hybrid format in 11 different cities in all over Indonesia.

Dini said that the RKUHP will bring a brand-new spirit so that the rules on Criminal Code in Indonesia can be more comprehensive and can provide better legal certainty for people.

Among other rules, RKHUP is a fairly fundamental rule which becomes a vital foundation in people’s daily lives considering it is also a code of conduct that can give sanctions as well as provide protection for people, according to Dini.

Dini further said that without support and participation of all people, the spirit and the Government’s measures to make RKHUP to be a better rule so that all people also will not completely misunderstand the substantial purposes of the bill could not be manifested.

The latest version of the bill dated July 4, 2022, Dini added, can be accessed through government information websites.

Furthermore, Dini said that after the bill being passed into law, it is expected that it can solve problems in society.

For the record, the forum aimed to disseminate information about the amendment of KUHP, hold discussion on 14 crucial articles of RKUHP, and give space for people to join a meaningful participation.
