Vice President Ma’ruf Amin continues to encourage the development of digital public service malls (MPP) as well as accelerating the transformation of public services.

“Information technology-based digital MPP must become the backbone of public services. This is the Government’s commitment to providing the best public services and improving investment climate,” Ma’ruf said at the National Bureaucratic Reform Steering Committee (KPRBN) Meeting, at Vice Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Thursday (1/12).

According to him, a digital MPP that is coordinated nationally can increase budget efficiency and is in line with Presidential Regulation Number 132 of 2022 on National Electronic-Based Government System Architecture (SPBE).

The Vice President ordered related stakeholders, including Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reforms, Ministry of Communication and Informatics, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), as well as state-owned companies Bank Mandiri and Telkom Indonesia to complete the digital MPP design so that by the end of February 2023 there will already be a pilot project.

“Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reforms should coordinate appropriate and concrete steps for the development of digital MPP, including the integration of its business processes,” he said.

Ma’ruf also instructed Minister of Home Affairs to prepare human capital along with digital MPP institutions.

“We lack digital talent in this area. This issue can be overcome through centralization of system and data development that guarantees the quality and security of the system,” he said.

The Vice President also instructed Minister of Finance to support from financial aspect. He also asked Minister of Finance to encourage the National Single Window Institution (LNSW) under Ministry of Finance to participate in building a digital platform design for MPP services, MPP service pilot projects, as well as technical standards for MPP development.

Meanwhile for National Development Planning Agency, Ma’ruf ordered the agency to establish the digital MPP program as part of the national priorities for transforming public services, including the linkage of digital MPP in the framework of One Data Indonesia.

Moreover, the Vice President encouraged Minister of Communication and Informatics to support strengthening the national data center (PDN) for the operation of the digital MPP system nationally as well as preparing the infrastructure for the best implementation and management of MPP.

He also instructed Minister of SOEs to coordinate the involvement of Telkom and the business entities under it.

“I hope these accelerated steps can be achieved soon. This is part of the transformation and is also included in the framework of preparing one national data and fast service,” Ma’ruf remarked. (UN) (EST/EP)
